Authentic Japanese Kincha Zabuton for Zazen Meditation
A Zabuton (座布団) is a traditional Japanese floor cushion used beneath the body when sitting on tatami or hard flooring. For meditation, it is commonly placed underneath a Japanese Zafu meditation cushion to protect the knees, ankles and lower legs from direct contact with the floor.
Its generous 55 × 59 cm dimensions correspond to the traditional Japanese Meisen-ban (銘仙判) Zabuton format, providing a comfortable base for many seated meditation postures.
100% Cotton – Traditional Japanese Construction
This Japanese Kincha Zabuton features a 100% cotton outer fabric and 100% cotton filling. The natural cotton construction offers a comfortable, breathable and traditional feel suitable for regular meditation practice.
The Kincha (金茶) color is a traditional Japanese golden-brown tone with warm ochre nuances. Its refined and natural appearance integrates beautifully into Zen rooms, meditation spaces, Buddhist practice areas, temples and Japanese-style interiors.
Zabuton + Zafu: A Complete Zazen Meditation Setup
For traditional seated meditation, the Zabuton is ideally combined with a traditional Japanese Zafu meditation cushion .
Zafu above + Zabuton below
The Zafu raises and supports the pelvis, while the Zabuton creates a cushioned surface beneath the knees, ankles and legs. Together, they help create a more stable and comfortable position for longer periods of Zazen and seated meditation.
This Kincha Zabuton can be paired with one of our matching Japanese Zafu meditation cushions to create a complete and harmonious Zazen meditation set.

What Is Kincha (金茶)?
Kincha (金茶) is a traditional Japanese color combining warm golden and brown tones. The name can be understood as “golden tea color,” and it creates a calm, earthy and refined atmosphere particularly suited to Japanese interiors, Zen spaces and Buddhist meditation environments.
What Is the Difference Between a Zafu and a Zabuton?
A Zafu is a thick meditation cushion used to elevate the pelvis and support an upright seated posture. A Zabuton is a wider and flatter Japanese floor cushion placed underneath the practitioner.
Using both cushions together creates a practical traditional setup for Zazen meditation: the Zafu supports the seated posture, while the Zabuton cushions the parts of the body that remain in contact with the floor.
For a complete setup, explore our collection of Japanese Zafu meditation cushions and combine your Zabuton with the Zafu size and color best suited to your meditation practice.

This pair of shoes is really very comfortable, and the craftsmanship is excellent. It's exactly what I expected. The only problem is that I ordered a pair half a centimeter larger than my usual size, and even so, they're so tight that I can't even wear socks (tabis)!
I loved them, very beautiful and perfect fit if you follow the measure instructions. Looking forward for some outdoors bujinkan training in the spirng!
I wish they would come in 12 version as well

Just the right size.
As this belt was a replacement for my original black belt from 2003, I am very pleased to say that it has the same feel and quality of my previous belt. I teach karate 5 days a week, so I need a belt that stands the test of time. I am positive that this is it!
