What Is a Hanjuban?
A hanjuban is a traditional Japanese half undergarment worn on the upper body. Unlike a full-length nagajuban, the hanjuban is shorter, easier to wear, easier to wash, and more convenient for practical use.
In Japanese dressing, it works as a shitagi, meaning an inner layer worn beneath the main garment. It helps absorb perspiration, protects the outer clothing, and gives a cleaner and more elegant traditional appearance.
Perfect Under Kimono, Samue, Koromo and Martial Arts Clothing
This Japanese hanjuban can be worn under a wide range of traditional garments. It is especially useful under kimono, samue, koromo, monk robes, hakama, keikogi and Japanese martial arts uniforms.
For practitioners of Aikido, Iaido, Kenjutsu, Kyudo, Kendo, Karate, Jujutsu, Ninjutsu, Ninpo, Togakure Ryū Ninpō, Bujinkan, Genbukan and Jinenkan, the hanjuban provides a clean traditional layer that improves comfort while helping preserve the outer garment.

Why Wear a Hanjuban?
A hanjuban is a discreet but essential garment. It protects your kimono, samue, koromo or martial arts clothing from direct contact with the skin. It also helps absorb sweat, improves comfort, and gives a more refined Japanese silhouette.
Because it is shorter than a nagajuban, the hanjuban is especially practical for people who need freedom of movement. It is ideal for martial arts, meditation, temple activities, traditional workwear, tea ceremony, calligraphy, stage performance or casual Japanese daily wear.

My haori arrived in a timely manner and was everything I expected it to be and more. The quality of the haori is fantastic, and it fits great!
This pair of shoes is really very comfortable, and the craftsmanship is excellent. It's exactly what I expected. The only problem is that I ordered a pair half a centimeter larger than my usual size, and even so, they're so tight that I can't even wear socks (tabis)!
I loved them, very beautiful and perfect fit if you follow the measure instructions. Looking forward for some outdoors bujinkan training in the spirng!
I wish they would come in 12 version as well
Thank you very much
Just like described, fast shipment. Nothing to complain about :)
The Samue suit is very beautiful crafted - the fabric is soft and very pleasant to wear. A high quality clothing that exudes a genuine Japanese feeling attention to detail. . The tabi shoes clearly high quality. I am very happy.
Super cozy!
out est parfait. Merci
heads raised to the heavens, i am not worthy of the energy without thy consent.
Comfortable and visually stunning
Just the right size.
As this belt was a replacement for my original black belt from 2003, I am very pleased to say that it has the same feel and quality of my previous belt. I teach karate 5 days a week, so I need a belt that stands the test of time. I am positive that this is it!
Confortable et parfsit pour ma taille de pied. C’est super a porter a l’interieur :)
An amazing Gi. More like a samurai robe. Where the tk-10 is stone this is water, not flimsy but heavy but flows like a powerful river. Amazing quality.
I ordered this product as a replacement for a cheap Chinese samue that lasted roughly 3 weeks. This one is on another level. I am 182 cm and 83 kg and the 2L fits me nicely. Although based on the leg length a L would have also worked. The cloth has a nice thickness and texture to it. International shipping was fast. Would definitely recommend...it would also be really nice if this shop would have an European reseller, preferably in Germany ;)
A beautiful, high-quality product — it's a pity about the customs charges for Italy.
