Antique Japanese Montsuki Kimono for Men – Black Silk – TakanoHane Crest #004

This authentic vintage Japanese formal kimono is made of 100% black silk and features five family crests "Maru ni TakanoHane" (a stylized falcon feather motif). Formerly worn under the samurai armor Yoroi, it embodies strength, tradition, and formal Japanese elegance. This kimono is an exceptional piece for martial arts practitioners, collectors, and lovers of traditional Japanese culture.

🔶 Historical & Cultural Background

Crafted during the Showa period (1929–1989), this antique silk kimono has become increasingly rare in Japan. Once worn daily by Japanese men, such formal garments are now reserved for weddings, ceremonies, and martial arts events. Due to the high cost of new silk kimonos, vintage pieces like this one are often rented or carefully preserved.
