Japanese Men's Formal Haori – 5 Kamon “Maru ni Futatsu Hiki Mon” – Art Deco Silk Lining | Shōwa Era
A refined formal black silk haori for men, adorned with five family crests (Maru ni Futatsu Hiki Mon – 丸に二つ引両), the mark of the highest ceremonial level. The interior reveals an exceptional Art Deco haura lining woven in silk, depicting a Japanese coastal sailing ship and a European stone bridge – a symbolic meeting of Japan and the West that defined the modern Shōwa spirit.
Historical and Symbolic Meaning
This rare haori embodies Japan’s transition toward modernity during the early 20th century. The sailing ship symbolizes prosperity, trade, and journey, while the Western bridge stands for civilization, elegance, and connection. Together they express the wearer’s spirit of openness and success.
Kamon – Maru ni Futatsu Hiki Mon (丸に二つ引両)

I ordered this product as a replacement for a cheap Chinese samue that lasted roughly 3 weeks. This one is on another level. I am 182 cm and 83 kg and the 2L fits me nicely. Although based on the leg length a L would have also worked. The cloth has a nice thickness and texture to it. International shipping was fast. Would definitely recommend...it would also be really nice if this shop would have an European reseller, preferably in Germany ;)
