Antique Japanese Haori for Men – Black Silk Mitsukashiwa Montsuki – Ritual Hunting Scene
Origin: Made in Japan
Material: 100% high-quality black silk
Lining: Reversible with a brown inner silk featuring a symbolic hunting scene
Family Crest: Decorated with five Mitsukashiwa (oak leaf) kamon:
- 2 on the chest
- 2 on the sleeves
- 1 on the back of the neck
Description: This authentic antique haori was traditionally worn by samurai as formal outerwear. It features five Mitsukashiwa crests and a unique hand-drawn scene of sacred deer and archers on horseback—symbolizing protection, purity, and spiritual focus. A rare reversible piece combining elegance and esoteric symbolism.
Recommended Use: Perfect as a formal overcoat for traditional martial arts practice (Iaido, Kenjutsu) or as a unique collector's piece for exhibitions, reenactments, or ceremonial wear.

Cultural Reference
Similar haori designs have appeared in classic Japanese samurai cinema, notably those worn by actor Toshiro Mifune in Akira Kurosawa’s film Yojimbo. The sacred deer motif and mounted archer suggest references to the Kasuga Shrine mythology and traditional Shinto symbolism.

This pair of shoes is really very comfortable, and the craftsmanship is excellent. It's exactly what I expected. The only problem is that I ordered a pair half a centimeter larger than my usual size, and even so, they're so tight that I can't even wear socks (tabis)!
I loved them, very beautiful and perfect fit if you follow the measure instructions. Looking forward for some outdoors bujinkan training in the spirng!
